DEADGATE Closed Alpha Participation Terms
DEADGATE Closed Alpha Participation Terms
Last updated: October 15, 2026
These terms govern applications to and participation in the DEADGATE closed alpha organised by The Big Studio (“The Big Studio”). Address: Türkiye. Website: https://thebigstudio.net. Contact: support@thebigstudio.net.
1. Test period and scope
The closed alpha is planned to start on October 30, 2026 and last approximately 4 months. Dates, scope and access periods may change to meet development needs. The test may end early or be extended. Participants will be informed of relevant changes.
2. Applications and selection
- Participation is free. No purchase is required.
- Applying does not guarantee selection or access. Participants are selected in waves based on hardware, region, availability and testing needs.
- You must be at least 18 when applying.
- Each person may apply only once; repeat applications with another email address are not accepted, and if detected, all related applications may be excluded.
- Your information must be accurate, and you must notify the studio of material changes.
- Newsletter or marketing consent is not required to participate.
3. Steam keys and access
If selected, you will receive a Steam key by email. You must activate it on your own Steam account; alpha access is tied to that account. The key is personal, non-transferable and must not be sold or shared. Breaching these rules may result in revocation of the key or test access.
Use of your Steam account and the platform is also subject to Steam’s own terms.
4. Permanent access
Steam keys sent for the closed alpha are not revoked when the test ends. DEADGATE stays on the Steam account of a participant who activated the key on their own account, and once the game goes on sale on Steam, that account keeps owning the Steam version of the game at no extra cost.
- This right is tied to the Steam account the key was activated on; it cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash.
- The game’s content, features and versions may change during development; this right covers access to the current version of the game published on Steam.
- Participants whose key or access is revoked for breaching these terms are not eligible.
5. Pre-release software and responsibility
The DEADGATE closed alpha is a pre-release version under development. Bugs, crashes, interruptions and data loss may occur. Progress and in-game records may be reset or wiped. Content, features and performance do not represent the final release.
The Big Studio exercises reasonable care but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free testing, or any particular level of performance on specific hardware. These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
6. Conduct and use
- Cheating and exploiting vulnerabilities or bugs to gain an unfair advantage or damage the service are prohibited.
- Reverse engineering and unauthorised modification or distribution of game files are prohibited, subject to rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
- Harassment, threats and abuse of other participants are prohibited.
- You may report bugs and vulnerabilities to the studio.
If you breach these terms, The Big Studio may suspend or revoke access according to the nature of the breach. Any legally required notice and rights to challenge the action remain unaffected.
7. Feedback
You allow The Big Studio to use your suggestions, bug reports and other feedback to improve the game, without payment, worldwide and without limits on duration or number of uses. This includes reproducing, adapting and incorporating feedback into the game for that purpose. This permission is non-exclusive and does not promise that feedback will be implemented. Do not submit material that infringes others’ rights or that you are not authorised to share. Processing of personal data remains subject to the Privacy Policy.
8. Sharing content
Sharing permitted
From the start of the test on October 30, 2026, you may share screenshots, videos and livestreams from the test. We ask that your shared content visibly states “Alpha version, not final”.
You must not share content explaining cheating methods or how to exploit vulnerabilities. This permission does not authorise sharing game files, Steam keys or other people’s personal data.
9. Personal data and contact
The Privacy Policy explains application and participation data, retention periods and your rights. Acknowledging that you have read the privacy notice does not constitute explicit consent. Necessary test emails may be sent; marketing emails require separate consent.
Send questions, feedback or a request to leave the test to support@thebigstudio.net. Leaving does not automatically end obligations already incurred or an accepted confidentiality period.
10. Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated to reflect test operations or legal requirements. Material changes will be notified before taking effect, and renewed acceptance will be obtained where required. Changes will not retroactively make previously permitted sharing a breach.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. This choice does not limit non-waivable consumer rights, mandatory protections under the law of your place of residence, or your right to apply to legally competent consumer dispute bodies or courts.
